ABOUT
Matt “SCUM” Martinez is a multidisciplinary artist from Tucson, Arizona. Fluent in design, illustration and sculpture, sometimes combining all three, he has built a visual style all his own, pulling influence from his Mexican ancestry as well as his childhood growing up in a rural desert town of around 3,000 people just outside the Saguaro National Monument.
From his success in the on-chain art space to the founding of an environmental nonprofit based in Mexico City, Scum’s love of art has taken him all over the world. He has shown art in Singapore, Mexico City, New York, LA and the Netherlands.
The next chapter for Scum has involved two years of studying illustration and four years of worldbuilding. He hopes to publish his first comic centered around his Machinae Muerte universe in the coming years.
